Great verb  (By JoeyP)

Very well made, rugged pedal. Looks very cool as well but the star of the show are the reverbs; amazing and very tweakable. I have been using an EHX Cathedral pedal for the past few years and think of it as one of the best sounding, most versitile pedlals around. The Polara easily matches the Cathedral's versitily and exceeds it in the quality of the verbs; they are simply fantastic. The Cathedral is not coming off my board but it now has a partner. Highly recommended and very addictive. (Posted on 9/7/15)
That halo sound... wow  (By Ryan)

The Halo sound alone is worth the price. The size of the pedal, the design, everything about it is superb and not what I ever thought I'd say about Digitech products. I purchased this not knowing exactly how I was going to use it, but since I just separated my electric and acoustic effects into two different boards, I was lacking something fun to play with on my acoustic board. I played with this at a worship rehearsal this past week while I was on acoustic, and the Halo effect just sang out as if we had a keyboard player or a patch going. Absolutely perfect sounding. The other sounds are high quality as well, but I think I may be keeping it set to Halo all the time now. I'm also strongly considering getting a second one for the more 'normal' reverb sounds. Just what I needed  (By Reed)

I've never really used too much reverb. Playing live shows in bars, halls, basements, and the occasional big stage always gave me the reverb I wanted. Now, in my busier days, the time for bands is dwindling and I find I spend more time jamming by myself than writing/practicing with a band. So, I wanted a reverb to juice up my rumpus room and this guy delivered. I think it really shines in subtle settings with the liveliness rolled back, but it can do extreme verb settings fairly tastefully, as well. (Posted on 5/25/15)

I tested this pedal against the reverb in a 1971 Fender Twin and a Mesa Blue Angel (my all time favorite reverb) and it held its own on the "spring" setting. Very impressive.
Then I tried the Halo and modified plate settings, holy cow! Used those at a gig the next day instead of my chorus pedal. The stereo output is Huge!
I just needed a reverb for some old amps, this really does that job and a whole lot more! (Posted on 5/21/15)

I owned a TC Arena before this and I think the Polara just kills it. I love the Halo and Reverse mode but every mode is just fantastic and natural sounding. (Posted on 5/20/15)

I was a little dubious about the paint job (looks better in person not as over-the-top day-glo) but I think this pedal was an amazing purchase. There is a ton of quality here you could be paying $300 dollars for. Digitech is making some seriously great products. (Posted on 5/8/15)
Great Stereo Reverb from Digitech  (By Dan)

I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the new Digitech Polara Reverb. I love the soft click switch. The lexicon reverb models are mostly all excellent and highly tweakable. I tend to use Room, Plate, and Spring the most. Definitely worth the money and can hang with the boutique crowd. (Posted on 4/10/15)
Good quality sounding reverbs  (By Mike )

I have owned 10 reverb pedals in the past. None of them are on my board now. They were all good in their own ways,,it's just that I go through pedals like kids go through baseball cards. I hope that this pedal stays on my board for a while. I originally purchased it for the shimmer setting but found it just alright. The setting that I have left it on since purchase is the plate reverb. It sounds amazing! All of the settings sound really good to though,,but the shimmer effect just isn't as good as I was hoping for. I think my next reverb pedal will be the Eterna pedal. The videos sound amazing and I think that it has the sound that I am looking for. But don't get me wrong, the Polara pedal is really a great pedal for the price. Plus it's stereo and true bypass (Posted on 3/27/15)

Digitech Polara Reverb

Did you know that DigiTech and Lexicon operate from the same building? Then it would come as no surprise that the new DigiTech Polara reverb would contain seven algorithms straight from Lexicon, a company whose creations can be found on thousands of recordings from the last 30 years.

Lexicon has been fine-tuning its algorithms for over 40 years—since 1971. It’s no secret that Lexicon is the best in the business. These same algorithms—made since man first discovered the pleasing properties of spring reverb—have been loaded onto the Polara.

The Polara provides seven reverb types: Room, Plate, Reverse, Modulated, Halo, Hall and Spring, along with knobs for Level, Liveliness and Decay, as well as a Tails switch and true stereo in and out.

The Plate, Modulated and Spring types are time-tested and refined Lexicon classics. If you’ve listened to music in the last 40 years, you’ve heard these sounds. Room, Hall and Reverse are classics in their own right and Halo is the newest one. The Halo setting cascades octaves within the reverb tails for a shimmering sound perfected like only Lexicon can.

The most welcome feature of the Polara is the Tails switch, which switches the pedal from buffered bypass to true bypass. Technical jargon aside, this allows users to switch between keeping the reverb trails going when the pedal is switched off (Tails “on”) or cutting the tails off entirely when the pedal is switched off (Tails “off”). This feature allows players to dial in an extremely long decay and play over a held note while the pedal is off.

Level sets the wet/dry mix—fully counter-clockwise is all dry, fully clockwise is all wet. Decay sets the length of the reverb trail, and Liveliness controls the high-frequency response of the effect.

The DigiTech Polara is wired for true bypass and accepts a standard Boss-style 9v power adapter. Current draw is 75mA—check to see if your power supply is capable of providing that much.‚Äč
