One of the best pedals on my board (and believe me i have some monsters on it).
Can't say enough good stuff about it. It even works AWESOME with my acoustic guitar.
One problem only. When i power my board, it always starts engaged. I have to turn it off every time :( (Posted on 6/23/15)

Even during neo-classical shred sessions it keeps up. Running the first octave drop setting with "The Joker"s" grin on my face, the tone is wicked and the tracking (polyphonic and all) is flippin' fantastic!!! The small footprint of this device makes it a must for the pedalboard. (Posted on 6/14/15)

Just got this baby 2 days ago, mind completely blown. I've only just scratched the surface, this little guy has so much to offer. I got off on a tangent playing bottleneck slide with this thing engaged and I think I've created a whole new realm of music! EHX is making some of the very best gear now, as they always have, and being made in the good old USA sure doesn't hurt. By the way, the price is unreal! I thought after seeing the demo of this pedal it would go for well over $200 and I would've paid it. But for a mere $130 you can be the next Robert Fripp. (Posted on 10/20/14)

Electro-Harmonix Pitch Fork Polyphonic Pitch Shifter

Electro-Harmonix caught the gear world by surprise when it announced the Pitch Fork, a super-compact polyphonic pitch shifter pedal. A game-changer if there ever was one, the Pitch Fork allows players the ability to shift up or down at one of seven intervals (minor 2nd, major 2nd, major 3rd, perfect 4th, perfect 5th, major 6th and minor 7th) as well as one, two or three (!!!) octaves, and a Detune mode. What’s more, this is all fully polyphonic and contained in a tiny size that doesn’t consume much power.

The front face of the Pitch Fork contains two knobs, one three-way toggle and a pushbutton switch. The two knobs are the Shift knob, which sets the interval, and a Blend knob, which controls the amount of dry signal mixed in with the shifted signal. If the player leaves the Blend knob shy of 100 percent, a harmony is produced.

The toggle switch sets the direction of shifting. As expected, “up” is up and “down” is down, but the middle position, “Dual,” isn’t exactly “dual,” i.e. the minor second setting in the “Dual” position doesn’t result in a minor 2nd up AND down. There is an included chart to see how the Shift knob functions when the toggle is set to Dual. Dual mode offers two degrees of Detune in addition to several combinations of up-and-down shifted intervals.

For those that prefer only a slight accentuation, the pushbutton switch on the face turns the switch into momentary mode, where the effect is only on as long as the player’s foot depresses the switch. That said, if a shift is required for only a couple notes in a run, this mode offers a bit more precision than having to stomp twice per single note.

An expression/CV pedal jack found on the side of the pedal effectively turns the Pitch Fork into a glissando machine, and the Momentary button works in tandem with this. In “momentary” (or Latch “off”) mode, the expression/CV pedal controls the pitch amount. In “latch off” mode, the expression/CV pedal controls the rate of the glissando, AKA the amount of time it takes the pedal to reach the point at which the Shift knob is set.

The Pitch Fork is built in the USA. It accepts a standard 9v 2.1mm center-negative Boss-style power adapter. The current draw is a miserly 30mA—isolated power supply ready! ‚Äč
