Lovepedal AMP 50 OverdriveThe Lovepedal AMP 50 Overdrive just arrived here at PGS and is one of the coolest sounding effects we have seen. Basically a mini version on the Lovepedal Lil China COT, this little fella is gonna be huge. This guitar overdrive is capable of an amazing range of sounds for its size. By using both the Gain Bias knob on the pedal and the volume knob on your guitar, this pedal can take you anywhere from Hendrix to Billy Gibbons and everywhere in between. The knob gives you cleaner tones in the counter clock wise position to full on roar clockwise. The Lovepedal AMP 50 Overdrive is so clean and dynamic, it works well in conjunction with other signal driving units. If you love to set up your overdrive and work a little magic with the volume knob on your guitar, this little fella was made for you. Tone as big as a dump truck in a case small enough to fit on your key chain. Lovepedal AMP 50 Overdrive features:

A great boutique crunchy, powerful overdrive in a small package. Outstanding tone, works perfectly with both my Fender Bassman 4x10 and Marshall Mk II 2204 (that's the 50 watt master volume head) that runs through an even older Marshall 2x12. I did find that I had to move my Freakshow number 9 boost pedal from the front of the chain to after the Amp 50 as they didn't play well the other way round, they match up perfectly now though. This pedal goes on my small board (pedaltrain mini) but you can't call the sound small. This thing is huge, it packs a Chuck Liddell punch in an Avril Lavigne body. Buy one now or regret it forever.

The amp 50 is a simple but brilliant boost/overdrive pedal. I found it to be perfect in front of another drive pedal or already distorted amp. It's really easy to get a good sound out of this thing....One knob and one switch.

Though I don't own this pedal I did spend some quality time with it.
The thing that stood out about the pedal (this is very subjective) is that it's sound, I believe would be a great starting point for your tone. What I mean is that this pedal sounds really nice and could just be left on all the time, serving as the hub of your entire sound.
Though I didn't stack another overdrive with the pedal, I did put a Dyna Comp before it. Doing so brought the overdrive and sustain levels up for a more beefy solo tone. Good price and small footprint make it a winner.
