Most people will tell you that a great compressor pedal is one that is "transparent". So I decided to to expect much when I ordered this pedal. However, I was SO amazed at how this simple pedal breathed life into my amp. My Bogner already sounds great but this pedal not only balances out the string volume, adds sustain even at low volumes, but EVERY single good characteristic of my amp is better when this pedal is turned on! The clean sounds are warmer and glassier; the partially broken up rhythm tones have a sweeter aggressive snarl that this pedal doesn't squash out, and the hyper-overdriven tones just ooze buttery silkiness. I can't say enough about how impressed and pleased I am with this great pedal and my ability to mention SO many subjective adjectives in this review. Kudos to Dunlop, this pedal is truly fantastic!
