Electro Harmonix Holy StainThe Electro Harmonix Holy Stain takes the do-it-all approach to guitar effects! Mix 3 analog distortion sounds with 4 distinct DSP effects. The secret to the Stain is the division of the analog and digital effects, with the Mix, you can isolate only analog or digital signals for total flexibility. Choose between 2 Reverb types, Hall and Room, with control of the predelay, decay and mix. The Pitch Shift mode can generate a signal as low as a 4th or high as a 3rd. Electro Harmonix gives you to option to harmonize or mix it all the way for whammy effects with the Expression pedal input! The Tremelo mode is a tube like sound with a hint of reverb thrown in to space out your tone. Adjust the Amount for a sluggish vibe or heloc The Dirt control gives you analog Clean, Fuzz and Overdriven tones. A very unique pedal, though if you're a pretty dedicated pedalhead, you might want to look elsewhere if you haven't played one. All of the effects have a very unique character to them; they aren't bad, per se, but for some people they might sound too digital. I'm in an experimental band, so the lack of a highly organic sound worked out well for me. The drive/fuzz setting are LOUD and a little hard to control, but with some tweaking, they'll do you alright.
