Lovepedal Babyface Tremolo PedalThe Lovepedal Babyface Tremolo pedal is the latest offering from Sean in his Mini Line of effects pedals. The Babyface Tremolo has 3 switchable waveforms, an external Speed control and internal adjustments for Depth (mix) and Volume. The internal volume control features an extra gain boost to counteract the perceived volume drop so common in tremolo pedals. The internal Depth control acts as a mix between your dry signal and effected signal. The Speed control goes from motion-sickness inducing slow throb to super fast bumblebee chop. The external switch gives you the option of choosing sine wave, saw-tooth wave, or pure square wave. The Lovepedal Babyface Tremolo might be diminutive in stature but the tone will run with any tremolo pedal on the market in a package that saves real estate and a price that can’t be beat.Lovepedal Babyface Tremolo ToneThe Lovepedal Babyface Tremolo brings you all the classic blackface/brownface tremolo tones as well as much more. The sine wave setting is smooth and wavy all the way through the speed range. Classic and sweet. The sawtooth setting gives a hard pulse with a smooth decay, perfect for fading drive riffs or psychedelic solos. The square wave setting is solid on/off tremolo with no bleed for absolute chop at any speed setting, much like the old Valco tremolo circuit. The speed control gets slower than normal tremolo circuits as well as blazing fast like a hummingbird. The Lovepedal Babyface Tremolo also has two internal controls. The Depth control is a mix between your wet and dry signals. The Volume control allows you to set the output level to match your situation and even has some extra boost in it to keep that perceived volume loss at bay. All tremolo all the time baby! The Lovepedal Babyface Tremolo pedal brings all the classic tremolo sounds to your feet as well as some modern updates like bumblebee fast chop.Lovepedal Babyface Tremolo Features

Obviously if you're buying this pedal you're looking for a really small great sounding tremolo, and this is it. You can't really complain about the fact that two controls are inside the pedal, because there's no way they could fit three knobs on a pedal this size. The level and intensity are really the set and forget controls of a tremolo, so I don't mind at all. For someone with a powered pedalboard this is probably the best space saving tremolo available.

One knob, one three-ways switch, and that's the Lovepedal Babyface: one of the best tremolo pedals out there!
This pedal has all the features you'd like to find in a stompbox: it's small, true bypass, built to last and easy to use. Just one knob for the rate and a little switch to select three different wave-forms give you a surprisely high range of possibilities: with this little guy you can go from on-off effects to a buzz sound, from a vintage amp trem to modern heli-like riffs - very, very versatile.
One thing that you can find out while choosing a tremolo is that often the pedal "eats" your signal and puts your volume down. Not with the Babyface, my friends: this pedal stands perfectly in the mix, and anyway you could also adjust the volume and the depth by using the internal controls, to personalize it and let it fix better in your pedalboard.
I got the Babyface since April, and I can tell you: this funny little thing is very difficult to replace!

Great and simple pedal. One knob, 3 switches and that's it. Takes up minimal real estate on a pedalboard but produces huge tremolo sounds: does The Smith's "How Soon Is Now," perfectly. One slight problem is the fact that it doesn't quite have the flexibility I was hoping for and the knob can be a little sensitive, but overall, it can do slow/pulsating sounds as well as helicopter-choppy sounds. Extremely versatile while staying bare-bones simple and producing a monster sound. Highly recommended as well as all Lovepedal products
