HomeBrew Electronics DeTox EQ
The HomeBrew Electronics DeTox EQ is an super quiet, thick sounding EQ based on a circuit using a Burr Brown IC. It is the brainchild of HomeBrew Electronics and shred guitar virtuoso Paul Gilbert. Paul wanted this pedal to clean up his guitar sound instead of the standard EQ sound of scooped mids and boost. He prefers the HomeBrew Electronics DeTox EQ over rolling down the volume to clean things up. Paul thinks the Detox does this without losing any sparkle. The pedal includes a note from Paul Gilbert with his favorite setting. Nice!
The layout of the HomeBrew Electronics DeTox EQ is pretty simple. It features knobs for Treble, Mid, Bass and Level. All three bands are very musical and at the right frequencies. The Level control sets the DeTox at unity, boost or cut. They did their homework on this one. Not just for Paul Gilbert fans, the HomeBrew Electronics DeTox EQ is an excellent all around equalizer.
