The Custom Classic Telecaster is the best bargain you can find in the Fender Custom Shop guitar. Priced just above the American Deluxe, the Custom Classic is a handmade instrument with exceptional attention to detail. All wood is hand selected and each guitar is built in the Custom Shop, not in a factory. At the end of 2008, they were discontinued. Fortunately, we at PGS had the foresight to order over 30 of them before the run was over. This Fender Custom Shop Custom Classic Telecaster is a looker as well as a player. The stunning nitro Lake Placid Blue is finished atop a premium cut of alder and the maple neck has mellow birdseye throughout.. Not just a pretty face though, this Tele plays and sounds amazing too. The 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets on the maple fingerboard make this Fender play better than anything that was created in the early days. The large "C" neck fills your palm and makes bending and twangin’ a breeze. Perfect for a long night of gigging the Custom Classic Telecaster is meant to be beat and punched. The stagger height tuners on the headstock and six solid brass saddles on the bridge keep this twang master in tune and sustaining all night. Add the preferred combo of a Twisted Tele neck pickup and a Classic Tele pickup in the bridge mean smooth articulation on any note you play as well as focused dynamic response. Lake Placid Blue was a non-catalog color for the Custom Classics so you won't find many of these around.
