G&L ASAT Classic Custom
The G&L ASAT Classic is a legacy in itself. A twang machine with modern features and vintage styling, the G&L ASAT Classic has built a reputation for being a reliable instrument for any style of music. The G&L ASAT Classic Custom is a different take on the ASAT featuring a G&L Magnetic Field Design single coil in the bridge position and a G&L MFD High Output single coil in the neck position. The traditional “ashtray” style bridge contains six individual brass saddles for vintage tone without the intonation problems of the traditional three saddle setup. This G&L ASAT Classic Custom has an alder body finished in Electric Blue and a tortoise shell pickguard. The #2 hard rock maple neck is capped with a rosewood fingerboard and topped with G&L tuning keys. This is a departure from the traditional style, but the G&L ASAT Classic Custom is a great instrument that is perfect for all styles of music.

The G&L ASAT Classic Custom is a burner! The MFD single coil in the bridge is twangy yet full bodied while keeping the noise to a minimum. Crisp and articulate, it gets a great country twang without being harsh and when overdriven it comes through with incredible dynamic response and clarity. The MFD High Output pickup in the neck position is fat and full with great top end and clarity. It is big and bottomy when clean and grinds like a soapbar when overdriven but still retains clarity and dynamics. The #2 neck is the perfect palm size and lays in the hand like an extension of your own…well hand I guess. The G&L ASAT Classic Custom is a player’s guitar and a great addition to any arsenal.
