NICE Pedal for the Money  (By Stringbender 53)

I've been happy for years with my various Fender and Boogie spring reverbs, but while contemplating building a pedal board thought it might be nice to add some variety. A friend recently allowed me to try out his new "Hall of Fame" and while I liked it, I really didn't have use for the Ambient and Gated settings. Consequently I decided to go with the Trinity and overall I'm really pleased. The E1 & E2 settings could be considered gimmicky by some, but I found them more usable for me than the originals. Build quality of the pedal appears excellent (as is most t c product) and the price/value bang for the buck factor in my opinion is VERY good. Personally I found the objections posted here (too digital sounding & footswitch actuation) to be non-issues for me; overall the sounds are clean and "warm" enough and while it's footswitch travel IS "tighter" than others, I've had no failures to engage/disengage in use and it's quality appears very good. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, we all like different things, and your mileage may vary! If your shopping a reverb, definitely give these a try! (Posted on 4/12/14)

This is in fact a great little reverb - better than my DigiTech Hardwire RV-7, but TC and/or ProGuitar Shop really need to rethink the actual foot switch on the Trinity. The button itself has such little travel downward before it bottoms out that it "barely" actuates the pedal. I've tried three of them now and every one of them was this same way, and unfortunately, its not something that can be adjusted or easily replaced. (Posted on 2/26/14)

Too digital  (By Arth)

I bought this based on what I heard through YouTube and other lossy media. What I didn't realize was that in real life, it's really digitally sounding. Not at all natural. I'm keeping it only because of the huge delay you can shift in, but for sound quality, it's about the worst reverb I have used.

As for the two special settings, one of them is good, and the other even more computer-like than the rest. And you lose two other choices from the HoF to give room for these two.

Just received my Trinity from you guys yesterday and used it on a gig last night...Just Amazing!! I've been touring with a Verbzilla for years but haven't been too happy with it for sometime now (plus the Verbzilla weighs a ton). The Trinity is featherweight, solidly built and the presets are absolutely Lush and Gorgeous...and I'm really excited to know that I haven't even begun to tap into it's potential. And you guys were a pleasure to deal with. Thanks for helping to create such an amazing pedal! (Posted on 10/5/13)

For just a little more than a Holy Grail, you get ten plus great 'verbs. The hall and room reverbs are worth the price of admission, but the Modulated reverb is something special. The noise floor is super low, and the controls mean you can get very subtle colorings as well as super washy 'verbs.

Also, I have to say, if you're looking at the Hall of Fame, really consider this guy. PGS really added a couple of sweet and useful settings, and.. it just looks cooler. (Posted on 8/24/13)

Great reverb pedal. Just received it yesterday. Can't wait to get more into the different reverb types. The addition of the TonePrint technology is great also. You can import other guitarist tone prints, and/or make your own with the Tone Print editor. Seems like the reverb possibilities are endless. (Posted on 8/7/13)

You can get so many epic soundscapes out of the Hall of Fame, but the Trinity's exclusive two really are the icing on the cake. The options are endless, and that's how I like my reverb. (Posted on 6/23/13)

I bought this just for the E1 setting. It's just so good! It's like the HoF, but better! And more good looking too. (Posted on 6/9/13)

I was about to buy the Hall of Fame when I saw that PGS had a custom version. After listening to the samples I went to order only to find them sold out. I waited until they came back in stock and jumped on it without missing a beat (although my drummers might disagree). Without a doubt this pedal is worth every cent. It is sturdy, sleek, gorgeous, and eye catching. You just can't beat all the options available and the custom toneprints have given me hours of play. This pedal makes it exceptionally easy to dial in the sound you're aiming for. (Posted on 6/1/13)

You've never heard anything so majestic, until you combine it with Trinity Reverb. I play bass, and I personally think it sounds better and it has given a very deep sound to my playing. (Posted on 9/23/12)

The Trinity adds wonderful tonal qualities to both Fender and Marshall amps. It's versatility is amazing and adds great depth, substance and even feeling of awe to slower songs. Being part of a Church Music Team I can only say it has truly added a new dynamic to the music we play. It works excellently with the MXR carbon copy and analog chorus and gives a superb edge to the entire board.

Thanks PGS for a great buy.

TC Electronic Trinity Reverb

ProGuitarShop and TC Electronic put their heads together once again and the result; the TC Electronic Trinity Reverb. The Trinity is a collaborative design based on the popular Hall of Fame Reverb from TC Electronic’s Tone Print series.

The entire idea of the Trinity came about when Tore at TC Electronic mentioned that they had a cathedral reverb algorithm for the Hall of Fame that was never used in the production model. This sparked the creative side of Andy and Aaron here at PGS and the idea for the Trinity Reverb was born.

Ethereal 1 (E1)

This setting came about when we decided to push the limits of the EQ settings of the reverbs decay. By doing so, we were able to create a distinct presence of upper harmonic overtones swirling behind the reverb. These overtones hang in the air above the signal like an Aurora Borealis of harmonics, glimmering and shifting about as you play. We did not use any sort of synthesis or octave effects to attain this setting; E1 is pure reverb interacting with itself, bouncing around to create a perceived upper harmony. Your guitar is suddenly transformed into a choir of heavenly harmonies.

Ethereal 2 (E2)

The Ethereal 2 (or E2) setting creates a pulsating helicopter effect. This effect provides a pulsing, throbbing drone behind the note, generating an eerie wall of sound . Like E1 this is also in the background of the reverb but E2 is very dynamic and responsive to pick attack and which strings you’re playing. The low strings tend to have a low end heavy throbbing that transitions to a bubbling brook type of effect when played lightly while the high strings yield more of a swirling, spinning aura behind the reverb effect.

We think these two new presets will present a world of creative spark for anyone that loves to test the limits in their playing and music. From the ghostly, otherworldly to the spinning chopper the all new TC Electronic Trinity Reverb pushes all the boundaries of conventional reverb effects. The Trinity still has a spot for your favorite Toneprint as well as 8 standard presets from the Hall of Fame.

The instruction manual for the TC Trinity/Hall of Fame is available from the TC Electronic website.
