This pedal is the real deal  (By Koch)

I would have to say I have finely found my sound. The tones you can get with this pedal are amazing. Makes all my other OD's fake in comparison. And I have bought and sold many. This in conjunction with the Warthog. Will get you any sound you can think of and some you have never imagine. Marshall boom. Dumble yes. Fender there. Vox dam. This pedal is expensive but you get what you pay for. Sell some of you other pedals if you have too and get one or all of the Thorpyfx pedals. You won't regret it. (Posted on 5/29/16)

I've only had the Peacemaker for two days, but I am stunned by how great it sounds and how versatile it is. It really lets the character of the guitar shine through and it sounds like a great tube amp's overdrive. I've used it with a Suhr, a Les Paul, and a G&L, and it's easy to dial in great tone with any of them, single coil or humbucker. It's easy to imagine retiring my other overdrive pedals, which by comparison sound artificial. The Peacekeeper is pricey, but it may be able to save you from buying alternative overdrives every few years, searching for that sound, and in the end could be considered a good value. Tonewise nothing I've heard comes close. (Posted on 5/11/16)

Obviously we are all very impressed by Adrian Thorpe and his creations so far... I thought when we bought a boutique pedal, we were getting a hand made, best possible materials, etc. but when you own a Thorpy, you know that that wasn't the case... This is TRUE Boutique, ... From the outside construction, impeccable. To the obvious superior components inside compared to any pother pedal maker... ANY other... I know some people in the pedal business and everyone is a fan of the other... There is no sense of competition... But like the previous review... This might make your other pedals afraid... and their pedal builders in my opinion...
We live in a pedal Golden Age, like Andy says... and to stand out in a saturated market like Thorpy effects have, or Strymon too... it's paradigm shifting...
All of a sudden, tone got a lot better, thanks to Adrian Thorpe... not that it's an un regrettable tone... but for 300 bucks you can sound like a million bucks... My first Thorpy was the Muffroom Cloud... I had very high expectations, and usually that makes me end up dissapointed... but I wasn't with this pedal... as soon as I started unwrapping it, you know it's going to be something special, when you grab it in your hand, you already know you made a smart investment... and when you play it... well, anything can happen... it's just amazing. Now, I was about to buy a Tube Driver , because I wanted a Gilmourish tone, and smooth, creamy low gain overdrive... Si I was super stoked to find out that Thorpy was coming out with something like a Klon, or his version of a transparent low gain overdrive...
Now, I don't know how he does it... but the genius was of putting the mids pre gain and bass and treble post gain so it;s more interactive like in the Muffroom Cloud...
and of course, this is my new favorite pedal, and I honestly didn't think the Muffroom was going to fall from that spot any time soon... but this is not only the definitive KLON killer... but really, something a lot, lot more...
So versatile with the EQ aspect of it... such cool, sleek graphics and of course, the secret sauce inside that makes this an essential pedal for anyone... that plays guitar any style... it doesn't matter, you will sound so good, plus it has many different uses. but as a low gain overdrive , for some sweet blues... I honestly would pay double for something like this, not that I want to give therapy any ideas... but pedals like this will definitely make other manufactures up their game... I'm so happy to be peaking musically when this dude is alive!!! this is how it must've felt when Hendrix first played a Fuzz Face, or Gilmour a Muff.... I cannot wait to get the other . This will make your other pedals VERY nervous...  (By Mike Plays Guitar )

This pedal is a work of art, aesthetically and acoustically. It is a low to medium gain pedal - not just "barely gainy". It can rock! The degree of control from the unique EQ system is incredible. I had the best low-medium gain sound I've ever heard within about 20 seconds of plugging this pedal in and turning two of the knobs. It took almost zero time to get an EPIC mild overdrive sound that is better than I had ever hoped for. The EQ gives you huge scope to craft your tone, and the pedal can be VERY neutral and transparent, so you get the sound of your guitar, just way better and with lush, gorgeous overdrive. There is no built in mid-hump or bass cut, unless you dial that in. The presence control is a secret weapon that brings it all together. This pedal is heavy, and built like a tank. If you want the best quality and tone available on Earth, look no further. After buying this, I sold FOUR pedals that I no longer needed. This is a masterpiece. It is not cheap, and you get far more than what you pay, trust me. Do not hesitate. (Posted on 3/10/16)

ThorpyFX The PEACEKEEPER Low Gain Overdrive

With the launch of the Peacekeeper, Adrian Thorpe has set his sights on the realm of low-gain overdrive. Like everything that leaves ThorpyFX HQ in the UK, the Peacekeeper didn’t even come off the bench before it sounded perfect. Needless to say, the Peacekeeper is your new secret weapon.

Five controls adorn the front of the Peacekeeper: Gain, Volume, Treble, Bass and Presence. One of the secrets to the Peacekeeper’s precision tonesmithery is a clever EQ implementation. The Presence control adjusts the mids before the gain stage, so users can decide how much midrange gets eaten up by the drive section. Then, the powerful active Bass and Treble controls process the overdriven signal for an EQ separation that keeps the tone crisp and punchy.

The versatility of the Peacekeeper cannot be overstated. A simple twist of the Gain knob dials in just the right amount of creamy overdrive saturation. Unlike many pedals of this ilk, the Peacekeeper doesn’t sound neutered at minimum Gain settings. Instead, it imparts a snappy, glassy sheen upon the tone that is like a Klon in implementation but unlike one in actual sound.

Speaking of Klons, the Peacekeeper isn’t one. It’s an original circuit developed by Adrian Thorpe, former explosives specialist in the British military. The man knows design, and it shows—from the original circuit down to the stunning aesthetics, recessed knobs and immaculate wiring. Each pedal looks like it was meant to survive one or serval bomb blasts, something we’re sure factored into the final product design on a deeper level than an average run-of-the-mill marketing blurb.

  • Incredibly clean boost tones all the way through glassy, crunchy OD
